These days it is very common to use an iPad or other type of tablet as a control panel for home and building automation, music or for example, as a picture frame. The iPad or tablet is often hung on the wall in this case. But how does the tablet get powered? The supplied USB charger with plug connection, of course, is not suitable for installation. If the USB charger is plugged into a power outlet, the USB cable will hang awkwardly in sight. That can be done better!

Flush design
The chargeUP USB-A charging station 12W is completely flush installed in a standard electrical installation box. With the aid of an extra short charging cable (available as an accessory) between tablet and chargeUP charging station, a tablet can be mounted completely flat on the wall together with various wall mounts available on the market, where both the cable and the charger are completely out of sight.

Completely flat installation means 100% flat installation is possible. The USB output is constructed with the chargeUP so that the USB connector does not protrude. The ingenious concept behind the chargeUP invites you to creative solutions anywhere charging is needed. If it where the USB charger needs a fixed place, or theft prevention of charger and/or charging cable is important. For example, the chargeUP can also be mounted behind standard, commercially available, blind cover frames for integration into existing switchgear.

Power USB outlet
The chargeUP USB-A 12W offers the perfect balance between a charger with a fixed, non-removable cable and a regular charger where the cable can easily be removed. Due to the smart construction of the USB port, the USB cable can not be removed easily after assembly. At the same time, the chargeUP offers the flexibility to be combined with a wide variety of USB peripherals: from USB-A to Lightning, Micro-USB and even to USB-C is available. With a capacity of 12W/2.4A, the chargeUP USB-A is ideally suited to power even the most demanding tablets 24 hours a day.

Smart & efficient charging
The chargeUP USB-A charging station 12W/2.4A is also equipped with 2USB chargeMAX technology, essential for smart and efficient charging. 2USB chargeMAX technology dynamically detects the charging protocol of the connected device. This contributes to efficient and optimised charging. Whether you are in possession of an Apple® or Android® phone, 2USB chargeMAX ensures faster loading and saving time!

If there is no mobile device connected to the chargeUP then this charging station has a sensationally low stand-by power of <50mW and an impressive energy efficiency of no less than 85%!

Easy to install
The built-in depth of 32 mm, this USB charging station is suitable for any standard European flush-mounted box. And is perfectly usable for new construction projects, renovations and modernisation.

The chargeUP USB-A charging station can be installed with all common electro wiring available on the market with a diameter between 0.75 mm and 2.5 mm. A very important detail that should be mentioned here: both contacts (both L and N) can be looped through!

There are several options for mounting the chargeUP. Mounting is possible with the aid of the removable metal mounting frame and the screw fittings and / or with the claws supplied. The chargeUP can also be installed "simply" without a mounting frame in the flush-mounted box.
